Coming from a family that included a heart surgeon, gastroenterologist, and brother who was soon to become a neurologist, I thought Chiropractic as a profession could be difficult for my family to accept. Mind you before I decided to become a Chiropractor I spent six years becoming an Ocean Engineer, due to my fascination and appreciation of the ocean.

When starting to investigate chiropractic, I was surprised to find out how many friends and even family members were seeing chiropractors. I even found out that one of my cousins was a chiropractor. When discussing this with my family I was surprised by the support I received considering the medical aspect of my family. However, I was not surprised by the support I received from my mother and her sister. My aunt was probably one of the largest factors in considering chiropractic as a career. She was truly a believer in alternative/natural forms of health care. She was always subjecting her family to all kinds of natural health ideas and chiropractic was at the top of the list.

One of the deciding factors for applying to chiropractic college (total of 7.5 years) was due to an experience I had with a chiropractor after a baseball injury. The only reason I saw Dr. Mitch (chiropractor) was because my dad and uncle met him through work and spoke highly of him. I will never forget that first visit. It took some time, but the results were incredible. I also found out he was the chiropractor for the Harlem Globetrotters. This had my mind starting to set goals. I knew I needed to be a Chiropractor.

I was told by the chiropractic school I needed some additional courses to be eligible to apply. So I immediately enrolled into two local Universities and started taking the additional pre-chiropractic courses to add to my previous science degree to be eligible.

Not long after, I packed up and moved to Atlanta Georgia and began my chiropractic education at Life Chiropractic College (currently Life University). During these additional four years the courses included; biochemistry, histology, many different anatomy courses, physiology, x-ray, pathology, neurology, orthopaedics, multiple adjusting techniques, and a strict internship in both of the Life Chiropractic Colleges public clinics.

After graduating in 1990, I moved to Florida where I thought I was to begin my chiropractic career. To my surprise, I received a few phone calls from different chiropractors in Australia. I remember mentioning in school one day, “it would be interesting to maybe practice in Australia for a while”. It’s amazing how far words can travel! Within a few months I packed my bags again and headed for Melbourne Australia where I practised for a few years before settling in homey Perth. In Perth I built a purpose built office which is almost an exact drawing of plans I drew as my dream office during a class in the last semester in school.  Dreams do happen. Many people doubted the size, sophistication and location of my office but I figured “if you build it they will come”.

At Grand Boulevard Chiropractic we love and accept all kinds of patients. Even SCEPTICS! Once the sceptics concerns are addressed and relieved, they become the best patients. This is one of the reasons we make sure we explain everything to the patients as best we can from the moment they call us on the phone and through-out any ongoing care. We know patients expect and appreciate this level of communication.

I love my family practice, but I seem to have the most fun with the children. When you meet me, I’m sure you will understand why. I also enjoy the challenges of everyday practice as well as those patients without pain who come for preventative measures. I believe life is precious; let’s get the most out of it and ourselves.

I have recently married my beautiful wife Natasha who also shares the same love for chiropractic and runs our second office in Mindarie.  I have two beautiful daughter's the eldest is named Marina who, keeping in check with our natural healthy lifestyle, has never been vaccinated nor uses any medication. A strong nervous/immune system seems to be doing the job! How many 14 year olds do you know who have never had any medication?.  My youngest daughter is named Adrianna, a beautiful, energetic 1 year old.

Chiropractic first....... Medicine second........Surgery last!

As the principle chiropractor of Grand Boulevard Chiropractic Centre, I would like to thank you for visiting our site. There are four Chiropractors in our office (2 females and 2 males) and all of us would be more than happy to serve your family.

Joondalup Chiropractor Dr. Chris Randall

Joondalup Chiropractor

Hi. My name is Dr. Chris Randall. I am from a small farming community in New Brunswick, Canada. I am from a Chiropractic Family that started with my dad, Dr. Robert Randall (deceased) and his brother Dr. Arthur Randall (deceased). It continued with 2 cousins, my sister Dr. Kate Randall-Wallace, and myself.

I grew up riding horses and motorcycles, wandering the fields and woods. This has lead to a love of off roading and four wheel drives. I also have an avid interest in the restoration of classic and antique vehicles. This goes hand in hand with my passion for Chiropractic. Starting the healing process from within the body at the spinal level.

I completed my Chiropractic Degree at Life University in Marietta, Georgia, USA where I worked at various levels for the university and provided tutoring services to fellow students at the request of the Clinic director.

I have practiced in Georgia at the university level upon graduation. Since 2003 I have practiced in Perth as well as and in British Columbia, Canada in a small farming and forestry community.

As a native Victorian I have moved to the West specifically to join this exciting team. I was born and raised in Melbourne, the youngest of five children, so you can imagine the scrapes we all got into! Some of the more memorable include; falling off a horse (Gen, concussion); sprained ankle (Jo, hockey match); sprained wrist (Maddie, big feet-very clumsy!); sore neck (Jacquie, gymnastics injury); jumping off the dressing table onto beanbags... and missing the beanbags (Me, broken arm). Luckily some of our parent’s friends, whose grown children were studying Chiropractic, suggested our parents take us to a chiropractor to treat these injuries. But that is where my journey in Chiropractic care only began. Having initially found Chiropractic helpful for treating these issues, as a family we began realising the deeper benefits of regular care. My Dads asthma improved to the point where he doesn’t need medication, our hay fever disappeared as did our yearly flu and we found ourselves to be healthier and more energetic.

These changes prompted a rethink in how health was viewed in my family. We realised that prevention is more effective than cure, that health was more than the absence of pain and disease and that to achieve real health requires us all to be proactive. So from the age of five, chiropractic care became a regular feature in my life and I can honestly say that from that point on I have wanted to become a Chiropractor. That is except for the year when I planned to be an Australian Cricket player in the summer and play for North Melbourne in the winter...

After graduating from high school I entered the Chiropractic course at the RMIT University in Melbourne. In five years I completed a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Clinical Chiropractic, graduating with Distinction. The course is an intense focus on anatomy, physiology, body structure and function, diagnosis, radiography, different adjusting techniques, nutrition, and rehabilitation. Through the study of these subjects I gained a deep appreciation of the complexity of the human body. Indeed, coming to understand our bodies as an intricate set of systems that continually impact on each other only reaffirmed my belief in chiropractic care and its holistic ethos. Whilst studying I also worked in a clinic in Bulleen and a community clinic in inner city Fitzroy where I enjoyed working with people on their journey to health. Upon graduating I began work as an Associate Chiropractor in Farrelly Chiropractic Clinic in Narre Warren. While there I thoroughly enjoyed working with patients to improve their health through regular chiropractic adjustments. I also enjoyed utilising my knowledge of nutrition and exercise to help them achieve their health goals.

Outside of work I lead an active lifestyle.  I love to play cricket, golf and hockey, all which are fairly stressfully on the body, combined with physicality of my job, I get adjusted once a week to keep my nervous system connected and to be at my optimum level.

The ability of the body to adapt, to heal itself and to function at its optimum is an incredible thing to witness.  It never ceases to amaze me how health can be achieved when you take control of it.  I look forward to being part of your health journey.

Thank you
